A Look At The Functions Of T-Con D50ud1 In An LCD TV

By Dorothy Anderson

Traditional televisions were basic and they contained nothing more than a tube concealed with fuses, a scanner, wood, knobs and a set of rabbit-ear antennas. Thanks to the numerous advancements in machinery, televisions are today crafted with state of the art technology and they are quite intricate. TV repair experts have a hard job to do, especially when fixing issues with the T-Con D50ud1 in LCD televisions.

When the back of a modern television set is opened, you will find a power supply module or board. This will be found on the right side of the unit. The module or board in question is the heaviest and largest of all other boards on the back of the unit. The function of this module is to convert the alternating current into direct current.

Direct current travels in a single direction and this is the kind of circuit used to power LCD TVs. The model of your television will determine whether or not the power supply board and the inverter module will be combined. If your TV is receiving irregular power or no power at all, then the power supply board is certainly the source of your problem.

On your panel, the smallest board you can find is the T-Con d50u-D1 also called the timing control module. It is the only board that is enclosed in a shield and you can only find it in LCD television sets. Its work is to control the TFT screen, circuit and film transistor. Any time the T-con is damaged, there will be no display, you will see double images, a white screen or either horizontal or vertical lines.

At the back of your unit, along the edges, you will find the inverter boards. Again, such boards are only present in LCD televisions and their work is to turn low voltage direct current from the switched mode power supply into high voltage alternate current. This powers the backlights. In case you have a dim screen or no display, it could be that the inverter board needs fixing.

The main module, the logic board or the digital board are all terms used to refer to the main board. However, most people will call it the motherboard. It is here that the audio, video and outputs are attached. The task of the motherboard is to convert signals from analog to digital. That said, the main board is to blame if you are having issues with color or sound.

The audio receiving module or the jackpack is not attached to the digital board. It is separate and it plays the role of transmitting sound signals to the amplifier, processor and then to speakers located either side of a TV. Sound problems and a concern allied with channels changing at random are often caused by a faulty jackpack.

Finding quality television accessories online is not an easy feat. There are numerous dealers and it takes research and patience to find one that can provide quality accessories. This is more so the case, when shopping for something as delicate as the d50u-D1. To be on the safe side, make sure you get a product guarantee.
