Conflicts in the place you are working will always be there. The challenge is for you to overcome them without losing any of the best employees in your company. In that situation, your figure of authority will continue to be appreciated and you shall get better in handling similar cases in the future.

Study the approach to use especially when you have known these years for several years already. For example, do not conduct a group workplace mediation when the emotions are still firing up. Make time to approach each party separately simply because you are the only person whom they shall have no choice but to listen to.

Put some doubt into all the anger that they are feeling right now. In that scenario, they shall see how irresponsible they have been acting. This is called the shifting of power. Act in a way that will make them feel slightly reprimanded. Do not crush their ego though since that is enough reason for them to leave the company for good.

Always hear both sides of the story. This is why you need to get better as a mediation. Reach to the point when you can be objective about everything. That would make these people more comfortable in confiding to you. Plus, it shall give you a better idea on how to handle similar conflicts like this in the future.

Make everybody see what the other person is going through. Remember that there is a great possibility that this issue is just a mere product of bursting emotions. So, let your reasoning spread upon those who truly need it. Be patient enough to get them out to the light to see things through.

If there is a way that you can make life easier for everybody, go ahead and make the necessary changes. However, put more emphasis into the fact that this will only happen once. If another similar conflict arises, the parties involved will have to try to resolve there issues on their own. Have the right mix of being strict in here.

Get better in delivering bad news. Have the perfect timing for these people not to start blaming one another. You should also personally get through the fact that you have failed in this aspect. When your employees see that you remain to be positive despite everything, they shall get their issues right and make you proud once again.

Present everything that has been agreed during your separate meetings. Eliminate those which are strongly opposed by the other side. Again, this is about trying to get everybody what they can settle for in a regular basis. However, learn to set limits for their demands.

Ask these individuals to start apologizing for their outbursts. They must be sincere enough in doing the task since it is your job to save friendships as well. When you are able to retrieve that, you can proceed to getting bigger company accounts in the near future.
